Drug prohibition is an abject failure. 40 plus years after it began drugs are cheaper, purer and more plentiful now than ever. We have imprisoned generations of our youth and all we have to show for it are shattered lives, full prisons, parentless children and a giant national debt. Legalization and taxation will take the criminal element out of the trade.

state regulation on cannabis use would almost completely, if not totally, eradicate exploitation. It’s not a bunch of stoners saying that, but international drug committees and researches conducted by eminent international newspaper. Prohitionism is not the only reason for trafficking and forced labour, but in this case is the main reason why trafficked and exploited people are criminalized even after they succeded to escape their exploiters.
