Director Steven Spielberg worked with Universal's in-house archives and restoration services on the new print, starting with the original negative of the film — which Spielberg calls "pretty crummy" in a featurette on the Blu-ray. Even if you are not the biggest fan of the Transformers series from Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg, this short doc provides very interesting insights on the work of the sound team. A good sound mix can make a big difference and eventually turn the film into a happening. The visual effects in this film are complimented by the efforts of the sound team including Re-recording Mixers Greg Russell and Jeff Haboush, and Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designers Ethan Van der Ryn, and Erik Aadahl. ]]>
