Green mobility powered by sustainable energy, clean drinking water for all thanks to nanotechnology, dyeing textiles using recycled CO2. All of this is possible and is happening successfully now! Working together with Cleantech-founder Nick Parker, this film shows what our world will be like in the decades to come. The film team travels the world in search of a clean future. Design the New Business is a film dedicated to investigating how designers and businesspeople are working together in new ways to solve the wicked problems facing business today. The short documentary examines how they are joining forces by bringing together an international collection of design service providers, education experts and businesses that have incorporated design as a part of their core approach. Design the New Business features inspiring case studies and insightful discussions, helping to illustrate the state of the relationship and how it needs to continue evolving to meet tomorrow's challenges. This film is a Zilver Innovation initiative, and was created by 6 students from the Master in Strategic Product Design at the TU Delft in The Netherlands. with English subtitles

China, one of Asia's major economic powerhouses, is showing signs of slowing growth. This has prompted its leadership to consider spawning a new wave of home-grown innovations. One Chinese city has announced a programme to cultivate hundreds of visionaries in the image of Steve Jobs, the late Apple CEO, in just five years. With this in mind, the central government has called on authors and artists to create great works and make China a cultural superpower. For years, China has been promoting a policy of "indigenous innovation" - favouring domestic firms who develop their own technologies. But it has also put China on a collision course with major trading partners, some of whom accuse it of unfair trade practices and theft of intellectual property.
