Steve Jobs shows the new Apple Headquarter designed by Norman Foster [Update 3] https://documentary.net/video/steve-jobs-shows-the-new-apple-headquarter-designed-by-norman-foster/ https://documentary.net/video/steve-jobs-shows-the-new-apple-headquarter-designed-by-norman-foster/#comments Mon, 11 Jun 2012 18:25:56 +0000 http://documentary.net/?p=1855

The CEO of Apple unveiled the idea of a new headquarter and presented it to the Cupertino City Council. The new campus "City of Apple" will span 148 acres and feature a strong focus on creating a sustainable environment. Jobs responded to the question "how city residents will benefit from this new campus" by simply saying: "As you know we are the largest tax payer in Cupertino, so we would like to stay here and pay taxes... If we can't we have to go somewhere else like Mountain View and we take our current people with us". Strong argument ;-) We officially apply for a shared office there. Update; October, 2013: A video about the project was released. Update: June 11, 2012: New renderings, site- and floor plans available (see at the bottom) Update August 13 2011: The City of Cuppertino released floor plans. See below the video   ]]>

The man who gave the world the Mac, iPod, iPhone and iPad died on Wednesday. News of his passing spread globally on the very devices he had created. He left behind a fortune of more than $8bn but can the true legacy of Steve Jobs ever be quantified?]]>

"A documentary that tries to mix history, criticism and an unapologetic revelry of all things Apple into a movie experience. The film explores the early years of Apple, the many challenges Apple has faced, and what the future may hold for the company and it's products. Ex-Apple employees, engineers and community members offer insight on the company's innovations, failures, cultural impact and what the future may be like beyond the reign of its co-founder Steve Jobs. Interviews include notable Apple personalities Andy Hertzfeld, co-creator of the original Macintosh, Guy Kawasaki, long time Mac evangelist, Leander Kahney, author of the book "Cult of Mac", Jim Reekes, creator of the Macintosh start-up sound and Ron Wayne, original co-founder of the Apple Computer Company. The film is an independent motion picture and has not been authorized, sponsored, or otherwise approved by Apple Inc. http://www.welcometomacintosh.com]]>
