Bill Shatners humanity and charisma , of course, went before him , like always. The Rest of the Captains, all superlative actors, didn’t seem to enjoy the opportunity and went out of the way to explain their immediate displeasure with the part. Otherwise, it was work, but they’d rather be on stage doing Shakespear or some other higher calling in the acting world. It really broke the spell of them being Captains of a starship. I don’t even watch the next generation anymore. I loved the humanity of the captain of the Voyager series. she was real. the only person I ever mourned or cried for, was Elvis Presley. The only other person in the entertainment business I’ll mourn for will be William Shatner when he passes, and I hope he has many more years before that happens. These other captains need to learn how to act like they were grateful.
