Every two years since 1895, Venice has hosted the most important contemporary art exhibition in the world. Over a period of six months, the Biennale welcomes over 375,000 visitors and raises millions of Euros in sponsorships. In 2013, 88 nations were represented. But while everyone was talking about the art at the Biennale, we went to Venice few months before the official opening to meet artists, curators, and producers, and to understand how such a massive art event is made, as well as its impact on the city and its citizens. For this film Seb Montaz and his team have been filming and sharing uniques moments together for 18 months. Location: Mont Blanc range, french Alps.
Highlining is slacklining at elevation above the ground or water. Many slackliners consider highlining to be the pinnacle of the sport. Highlines are commonly set up in locations that have been used or are still used for Tyrolean traverse. When rigging highlines, experienced slackers take measures to ensure that solid, redundant and equalized anchors are used to secure the line into position. Modern highline rigging typically entails a mainline of webbing, backup webbing, and either climbing rope or amsteel rope for redundancy. Source Wikipedia.
